Presentation Skills Training for Teams

I typically offer half-day trainings of 3–4 hours and full-day trainings of 6–8 hours, though I’ve also delivered sessions as short as 60 minutes and as long as two days. The ideal length depends on your goals, group size, budget, and how deeply you want to work with your team. For example, if you attendees to not only learn foundational principles but also present prepared presentations for feedback, feedback, 8-10 people max and a full-day is usually best. For a high-level communication training for a larger group, I’d likely recommend a half-day session or a 60- to 90-minute lunch-and-learn. My goal is to align the format with your objectives and budget, which is why a thorough discovery call by Zoom or phone is so important.

Depending on the content and goals of the training, I can accommodate groups as small as 4 people and as large as 120-ish. Any larger than that, and we are probably talking about a keynote rather than an interactive, hands-on workshop.

I have created foundational training programs (like my Think Like an Actor, Speak Like a Pro or Telling a Story That Sticks and Sells, etc.) with specific programming that I then customize to fit your needs and to be as relatable as possible to your audience. I am always willing to work with you to customize programming as deeply as required and am happy to have as many conversations as needed to do so.

I offer both in-person and virtual training programs. Except for Flying by the Seat of Your Pants: Improvisation for Business Professionals, which works best in person, all my training options can be delivered either in person or virtually.

Yes. I’m happy to travel wherever I can be of support to your audience. I’ve delivered training programs across the United States and in the United Kingdom.

My fees are based on the length of the training, not the number of attendees. Group training fees typically range from $2,500 to $14,000, depending on the session length and level of customization. Out-of-state bookings that involve greater travel and time are billed at day rate flat fees. Travel and lodging are usually billed separately, though we can also agree on a flat fee that includes those costs.

As a young professional actress in NYC and Hollywood, I learned my craft in interactive class settings that taught me the value of learning by doing. As a result, I do everything in my power to keep my audience engaged through group exercises, paired or solo activities, and constantly changing things up to keep things interesting. This philosophy applies to both live-in-person or virtual scenarios. I believe that having fun can help you learn, and so I strive to make my training both enjoyable and useful.

Once you reach out to me, via my website inquiry form, or via a personal recommendation from a past training client, we set up a time for a get-to-know-you Zoom or phone conversation. In this initial call, I learn about your needs and goals, and then give you a high-level idea of which of my programs might be the best fit. I also share a general fee range appropriate to the engagement. Once the call is over, and assuming we have determined my fit and availability for the event, I put together a working proposal based on our conversation. The proposal includes a general description of the program and outcomes, and more specifics about your potential investment (fee, travel, lodging, bulk book purchase for attendees, etc.). Once you agree to the proposal, I create a brief letter of agreement for your signature. To prepare for the training itself, I often send you a questionnaire to relay to attendees prior to the event that helps me get to know their challenges and allows me to further customize my materials.

Attendees will need tables so they can comfortably fill out worksheet questions and take notes. I will need a projector, a monitor on which to show my PowerPoint, a table on which to spread out my materials, and a chair or stool. If the group is large (over 30 people) I might need a lavalier microphone (for me) and a handheld mic (for attendees). Also, since my workshops involve getting attendees on their feet and having them move around, I prefer having a “playing space,” an area available in the room that is free of chairs and tables where they can stand and work as a group. Boardrooms at your place of employment or in a hotel are often a great choice of venue. If the group is over 100, it is often best to have a raised platform of some kind so I can more easily seen by attendees.

I provide worksheets that support the session. Yes. I provide a pre-session questionnaire and, often, a customized post-session workbook. When possible, I like to schedule a virtual follow-up check-in about a month after the presentation, open to any attendees who would like to reinforce what they learned and ask me questions.
